Will Israeli tourists be able to take a vacation in the UAE?

After the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, eyes turned to the possible flights and tourism relationship between the two countries.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that they are working on direct flights to the UAE over Saudi Arabian airspace. It is not yet clear when the flights will begin, however the sources point to 2021.

Israel‘s third-largest airline Israir announced that they have applied to UAE authorities for flight permission.

Uri Sirkis airline’s CEO said: “Dubai is only 3.5 hours away from Israel and short distance makes it very attractive destination. It can be very popular among Israelis, like Turkey and Greece”.

Speaking to the Haaretz newspaper, Eshet Tours CEO Ephraim Kramer stated that it will take time for the UAE to become a tourism destination for Israelis and adds:

“I think this will not happen immediately due to health and political problems, certainly not in 2020. Maybe next year, maybe later, but it’s definitely an attractive destination because it offers a cheap and first-class experience.”

On the other hand, Aviation Links, another Israeli tour operator, according to the Jerusalem Post, is preparing to sell holiday packages that include 4 Rixos Hotels in the UAE for the Sukot Festival in early October.
