According to reports in the Saudi Arabian local media, umrah service will soon resume with limited number of local visitors.
The decision is considered part of the Interior Ministry’s plan to relax travel restrictions from September 15.
Citizens of Gulf countries and foreigners with a residence permit are allowed to enter Saudi Arabia as of September 15 ,if they have a covid-19-free certificate
Saudi Gazette, broadcasting in Saudi Arabia, reports that local pilgrims will be able to get a permission for Umrah with a negative Covid-19 test certificate, while the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is expected to announce the relevant conditions soon.
The newspaper says citizens will apply for Umrah through a mobile application and those who fulfill the conditions will be allowed by the relevant authorities.
