Russia introduces new quarantine rule for the travellers

Russian Authorities announced that Russian citizens coming from abroad need to isolate themselves until their PCR test results are obtained.


The new regulation will be valid as of September 24th.


Russian citizens coming to Russia from abroad are required to have a PCR test within 3 days of arrival. With the new rule, those waiting for the test result will have to stay in quarantine at their homes.


During the pandemic , Russia introduced a 14-day quarantine rule for all citizens arriving from abroad, and this requirement was lifted on July 15.


Instead of quarantine measure, Russians need to fill in a form on the plane and take a PCR test within 3 days of arrival.


According to Wordometer data, approximately 20,000 people have died in Russia due to covid-19 so far, while the total number of cases is over 1.2 million.
