The hotel chain RIU will reopen four more hotels on the Canary Islands, ready for the fast-approaching Christmas season. The most notable opening is that of the Riu Palace Jandia on 5 December. This hotel is rising to the 5-star category and it will offer its guests new facilities and excellent services on a half-board basis. As well as this hotel in Fuerteventura, RIU is adding another three hotels on the islands: Riu Vistamar and Riu Palace Meloneras in Gran Canaria, and Riu Arecas in Tenerife.
The grand reopening of the Riu Palace Jandia in the Canary Islands this December will reveal a hotel whose modernisation revolves around the comfort of its guests and the efficiency of its facilities. First of all, its 201 rooms and bathrooms have been fully renovated with a new, fresh and contemporary look that has turned them into spacious, comfortable, light-filled rooms for both adults and families with children. The bathrooms have also been redesigned, with customer accessibility in mind, including changes such as installing showers to replace the old bathtubs.
Meanwhile, a new themed restaurant has been added to the hotel’s range of dining options, ‘Krystal’, which is a favourite among RIU customers because of its delicious range of fusion cuisine. In addition, the main restaurant has completely overhauled its image and it now offers customers a new outdoor terrace where they can enjoy the warm Canary Islands climate all year round. The communal areas have also changed: the sun deck with beach views has expanded and it now has capacity for 100 more loungers.
As well as the Riu Palace Jandia, the first RIU hotel to reopen in the Canary Islands this month is the all-inclusive Riu Vistamar hotel, located in Amadores. It will be followed by Riu Arecas in Tenerife on 11 December, which is for adults only, and the chain’s 5-star hotel in Gran Canaria, Riu Palace Meloneras, which will welcome its loyal customers from 19 December. This Christmas, with these four hotels, RIU’s guests will have the choice of 11 hotels of the 17 the chain has in the Canary Islands.
