Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Tatyana Golikova announced that flights between Russia and Turkey will resume from 22 June.
As a result of the observations and report of the Russian delegation visiting Turkey, Russia decided to resume flights starting from June 22.
Tatyana Golikova said that despite some minor shortcomings, the measures taken pleased the Russian side.
Russia has been limiting flights to Turkey since April 15. In mid-May, a Turkish delegation including Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with Russian authorities in Moscow to discuss the matter .
Sides had agreed on a delegation from Russia to visit Turkey and inspect the measures.
The Russian delegation arrived to Turkey on Wednesday and completed their inspection on Friday.
Turkey hosted 2.1 Russian tourists last year despite the pandemic conditions.
