The US giant reported a revenue of 2.645 Billion Dollars with 79% decrease year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Ed Bastian, Delta\u2019s Chief Executive Officer said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>&#8221;While our September quarter results demonstrate the magnitude of the pandemic on our business, we have been encouraged as more customers travel and we are seeing a path of progressive improvement in our revenues, financial results and daily cash burn.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>&#8221;The actions we are taking now to take care of our people, simplify our fleet, improve the customer experience, and strengthen our brand will allow Delta to accelerate into a post-COVID recovery.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Delta received $ 5.4 billion in financial support from the US government in April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approximately 18,000 employees left the company at the beginning of August through voluntary separation and early retirement programs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delta, one of the largest airlines in the United States, today announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2020.
