{"id":496,"date":"2020-09-24T01:27:16","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T22:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/turizmpress.com\/en\/?p=496"},"modified":"2020-09-24T12:10:27","modified_gmt":"2020-09-24T09:10:27","slug":"istanbul-airport-becomes-china-friendly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/turizmpress.com\/en\/regions\/turkey-tourism-news\/istanbul-airport-becomes-china-friendly\/","title":{"rendered":"Istanbul Airport becomes &#8221;China Friendly&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Istanbul Airport has received the\u00a0<strong>&#8220;China Friendly Airport&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0certificate by completing a project designed to assist Chinese passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the project dedicated check-in areas are provided for passengers arriving from China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flight information screens will be available in Chinese, as well as ticket processing screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airport operator will be using Weibo &amp; Wechat which are common in China and the mobile application in Chinese language is launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chinese speaking staff with special uniforms will be personally assisting Chinese travellers with the Chinese signs in almost every area of the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Airport&#8217;s CEO Kadri Samsunlu said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are happy that Istanbul Airport has received the &#8220;China Friendly Airport&#8221; document. China is an important country for us, we have historical, cultural and economic relations. We have been working on reviving the historical &#8220;Silk Road&#8221; between the two countries by air. We would like our Chinese guests to talk about the unique experience they had at Istanbul Airport, how they have felt at home in a way that would contribute to our country&#8217;s tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal is to increase the number of Chinese airline companies organizing flights to Istanbul Airport in the following years and to ensure more passengers from the People&#8217;s Republic of China visit our country. We also aim to create a network where Chinese passengers traveling to Europe can use Istanbul Airport as a transfer point.
