Cebu Pacific, the Philippines\u2019 leading carrier, announces that 90% of its pilots and cabin crew have now been vaccinated, following the completion of the first wave of its employee vaccination program. Second doses are expected to be administered in the coming months, with the target of completing inoculation in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conglomerate-procured vaccines were administered to over 700 CEB employees at the airline\u2019s headquarters in Pasay City from July 28 to August 4, 2021. To date, 88% of CEB\u2019s total workforce have been inoculated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The airline\u2019s very own employee vaccination initiative is part of the Gokongwei Group’s COVID Protect Program, which covers the free inoculation of employees and their dependents, as well as third-party workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEB has also been working hand-in-hand with various local government units to boost the progress of vaccination for its workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that health and safety are everyone\u2019s top concerns and we want to keep doing what we can to ensure our passengers always feel confident flying with us,\u201d said Felix Lopez, Cebu Pacific Vice President for People Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On July 30, CEB flew its very first flight manned by fully-vaccinated pilots and cabin crew. It expects to fly more of such flights as the program progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEB has achieved a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety as it endeavors to restore the public\u2019s trust in air travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEB is also the official airline partner of the Ingat-Angat, a private-sector led campaign that promotes safety measures and vaccination to help foster a nationwide economic recovery. To date, it has transported over 16.5 million vaccine doses from abroad to the Philippines, on top of over 5.5 million doses flown to 23 provinces across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 31 destinations, on top of its eight (8) international destinations. Its 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters and one (1) A330 freighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
