Icelandair has announced today its partnership with\u00a0Cover Genius, the global insurtech leader whose insurance distribution platform provides protection for customers of the world\u2019s largest online companies, to offer embedded \u201cCovid Plus\u201d Cover for their worldwide customers, launching in Europe and Americas and Canada following soon. The Icelandair \u201cCovid Plus\u201d Medical Cover will be available through integrating with XCover – Cover Genius\u2019 award-winning global insurance distribution platform – and has been specially tailored for Icelandair global customers and ensures that travellers and their travel companions are covered if they get COVID-19 or another illness or injury while travelling, or if they need medical assistance while they are overseas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Icelandair will thus become the first airline to offer all their customers COVID protection through Cover Genius that will give them peace of mind when booking knowing that they\u2019re covered if they get COVID-19 prior to or during their trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Icelandair\u2019s global customers will also benefit from the insurtech\u2019s award-winning claims technology, that delivers\u00a0industry high NPS of 65+ which simplifies the claims process and pays out claims instantly in 90+ currencies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
