Thomas Cook brand is preparing to return as an Online Travel Agency.
The British media reports that Shanghai-based Fosun Tourism Group, which bought the brand rights after the collapse of 178-year-old British tour operator Thomas Cook in September, will soon return the brand to the travel industry.
Fosun, which also owns the club Med, had bought 18 percent of Thomas Cook. In November, the Chinese company paid GBP 11 million for the Thomas Cook trademark and its two affiliated hotel brands, Casa Cook and Cook’s Club, including domains, mobile apps and social media accounts.
The company stated that the process for the launch is about to be completed and official permits are awaited.
