Skyscanner has announced that Clive Peoples, former customer marketing leader at eBay and Expedia, is joining Skyscanner as SVP of Marketing.
Peoples, who will be based out of the company’s London office, reports to Skyscanner’s Chief Operating Officer Kris Beyens and is a member of the executive team. He is tasked with leading Skyscanner’s global marketing strategy, driving customer acquisition and retention efforts across the marketing organisation, bringing together both performance & brand marketing channels.

Most recently, Peoples led a team of 160 product owners, marketers, data scientists, user experience designers and engineers as Head of Global Customer Marketing at eBay. During his three years at the company, he created transformative customer experiences, personalising marketing and communications, to solve individual user needs at scale. using data science and tailored customer journeys.
Previously, Peoples was on the c-suite of private equity backed businesses Graze and Virgin Experience Days, managing overall Direct-to-Consumer P&L. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Expedia, where he transformed the previously fragmented customer journey to a compelling, simplified, customer-centric mobile-first experience, departing as VP Customer Marketing, Mobile & Loyalty. His career began at VisitScotland, followed by seven years at British Airways as a leading player in the transformation to digital.
