Russia has extended the flight restrictions to Turkey until June 21.
The flight ban to Turkey was previously declared to last until June 1.
Russia has also extended the restriction on Tanzania until June 21 however flights with the United Kingdom will restart. As of June 2, scheduled flights will resume on the Moscow-London route, three times a week.
With the decision taken on April 12, Russia had limited its flights to Turkey until the beginning of June. Since then, only two reciprocal flights per week have been allowed from Moscow to Istanbul and from Istanbul to Moscow.
Turkish Tourism Minister, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy had gone to Moscow in Mid-May, and met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Federal Tourism Agency President Zarina Doguzova to discuss resumption of the flights.
The parties had agreed that a Russian delegation would visit Turkey to see the measures taken for safety of the Russian tourists
