Izmir Airport gets ACI health & safety accreditation

Operated by TAV Airports, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport strengthens its commitment to safeguard the wellbeing of travelers and airport staff through the ACI Airport Health Accreditation program.

TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı said “Aviation is a strictly regulated global business. Due to border closures, it’s one of the worst affected sectors by the COVID-19 pandemic but it’s also one of the fastest adapting to the challenges brought by the pandemic. Since the introduction of travel restrictions and lockdowns back in March, we have taken all the precautions set out by the authorities to protect the wellbeing of our employees and passengers. We have complied with the certification programme established by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority and committed to the EASA Covid-19 Protocol. Now, we are certified through the ACI Airport Health Accreditation programme. Since the easing of travel restrictions in June, we have been providing a safe travel experience to our passengers”.
