The Azerbaijani Government is lifting the requirement for Turkish and Russian citizens to obtain a special permit to travel to Azerbaijan as of June 10.
According to the decision, Turkish and Russian citizens will be able to travel by air to Azerbaijan by presenting an official certificate of full dose of vaccination or recovery and a negative PCR test taken maximum 72 hours before the flight.
A negative PCR test result will suffice for passengers under the age of 18.
According to a recent protocol signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan, as of April 1, 2021, the citizens of the two countries will be able to travel directly between Turkey and Azerbaijan without a passport, only by presenting an identity card.
In Azerbaijan, which largely controlled the epidemic, only 123 new coronavirus cases were recorded on 4 June.
