Qatar Airways announced today that it’s relaunching flights to Sofia via Bucharest, which will be the airline’s 100th destination added back to its global network.
The airline plans to reach 700 weekly flights with the newly added Bucharest-Sofia route. Starting from 16th of October; Qatar will operate three weekly flights to Sofia.
Other than Bucharest- Sofia line, Qatar Airways is also increasing the flight frequency for Copenhagen (10 weekly flights from 12 October), Madrid (10 weekly flights from 12 October), Manchester (17 weekly flights from 12 October) Singapore (double daily flights from 25 October) and Stockholm (10 weekly flights from 12 October)
Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker, said:

Our focus is not only on restarting destinations but also operating as many frequencies as possible to provide our passengers the flexibility to travel when they want.”

Since the start of the pandemic, the flag carrier has flown over 175 million kilometres taking home over 2.3 million passengers on over 37,000 flights.
