Israel Excluded from Rimini Tourism Fair in Italy

Israel has been officially excluded from participating in the upcoming TTG Travel Experience, one of Europe’s leading tourism trade fairs, set to take place in Rimini from October 8–10, 2025. The decision comes in response to escalating conflict in Gaza and mounting international criticism.

Ethical Grounds Cited by Local Authorities Rimini Mayor Jamil Sadegholvaad and Emilia-Romagna Regional Governor Michele de Pascale jointly issued a formal letter to the event organizers, stating that Israel’s presence at the fair would be “ethically and morally inappropriate.” The letter emphasized that promoting regions associated with war and violence as tourism destinations is unacceptable.

Organizers Confirm Exclusion The fair’s organizer, Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), confirmed the removal of Israel from the exhibitor list. This marks a significant diplomatic and symbolic move, as TTG Travel Experience annually gathers thousands of tourism professionals and is considered a key platform for shaping the future of the industry.
