On August 2, 2021, a new SkyUp aircraft arrived at Boryspil International Airport. The medium-haul Boeing 737-800NG for 189 passengers became the 13th in the airline’s fleet and the seventh of this model range. The aircraft received the state registration number UR-SQO.
The aircraft, released in 2012, has passed a full technical check. In addition, it is equipped with Blended Winglets to save fuel and improve wing aerodynamics.
The Boeing 737-800NG will operate both international and domestic flights. Now SkyUp Airlines flight program has grown to more than 60 destinations and continues developing along with the opening of borders. Carrier currently flies to Albania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Georgia, France, Saudi Arabia, Montenegro, Croatia, UAE, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Madeira and Cyprus.
The new aircraft will supplement SkyUp Airlines fleet, which now consists of:
two Boeing 737-700 NGs with 149 seats
seven Boeing 737-800 NGs with 189 seats
four Boeing 737-900 ER with 215 seats
By the end of summer, SkyUp expects one more plane to arrive.
