According to the latest data from the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) for August 2025, package holiday prices across the European Union (EU) have shown a modest annual increase of 2.5%. This rate signals a deceleration compared to the sharper price hikes observed in previous months.
Higher Increases in Domestic Holidays
The data reveals a significant divergence in price trends between domestic and international travel packages:
- Domestic Holidays: Package holiday prices for travel within the European Union increased by 6.8%.
- International Holidays: The increase for international travel packages was limited to 1.6%.
Sharp Increase in Estonia: 39.5%
Among EU members, the sharpest increases were recorded in Estonia at 39.5%, followed by Bulgaria (23%) and Denmark (12%). Conversely, a few countries saw price drops, including Belgium (-7%), Sweden (-5.6%), and Spain (-0.1%).
