Russian flag carrier, Aeroflot, has introduced an updated children’s menu in business class on flights from Moscow. The dishes were developed to cater to tastes and nutritional needs of young travellers. Improving inflight catering will enhance the airline’s service quality.
The selection of dishes from the new kids’ menu depends on flight duration.
Hot meals include meat types with high dietary value and widely preferred by kids: turkey, chicken, veal, and beef. The menu contains more vegetables and fruits.
Breakfast service offers a choice of traditional children’s favourites: oatmeal, cottage cheese pancakes, pancakes with jam.
Vanilla ice-cream or panna cotta with chocolate garnish are served for dessert.
Special emphasis was placed on food presentation when creating the menu. Food design embraces funny shapes and edible decorations. Meals are served on porcelain in line with business-class catering standard.
The menu was developed by a team of chefs of JSC Aeromar, an Aeroflot Group subsidiary and Russia’s major onboard catering provider.
The new business-class children’s menu has been available on Aeroflot flights starting from 29 December. Special meals must be ordered at least 36 hours before departure. For further terms and instructions please see the Special Meals section on the website.
Aeroflot is focused on continuous service quality enhancement as an important priority and a competitive advantage. In 2019, the airline made it into Forbes’ 25 examples of best customer experience practices. The publication highlighted a wide array of in-flight cuisine options, gifts for children and customer-friendly employees.
