Malaysia is closed to tourists until the end of the year

Malaysia extended covid-19 related restrictions within the country and bans on international tourists until December 31, 2020.


The Prime Minister, Muhyiddin Yassin, speaking in a television speech:


“Our country is still actively struggling to brake Covid-19, which continues to spread around the world. We can’t risk taking this super-fast spreading virus lightly. Therefore, stricter quarantine rules will continue to apply in certain areas. “

Nightclubs and entertainment centers are closed, although most industries are allowed to operate.
Muhyiddin added that foreign tourists will not be allowed to enter Malaysia for now to prevent cases imported into the country.
