Royal Caribbean suspends all sailings until 2021

Royal Caribbean International announced today that it is extending suspension of sailings for the global fleet for all sailings through December 31st, 2020.


The decision is announced after further consulting with Cruise Lines International Association and in conjunction with the CDC.


Sailings onboard Quantum of the Seas are excluded, with a plan to resume operation on January 1st, 2021.

• Odyssey of the Seas sailings from November 5th, 2020 through April 17th, 2021 will be cancelled. The company says the will need additional time to complete the Odyssey of the Seas’ scheduled construction due to the closure of shipyards along with the disruption to the supply chain caused by this pandemic.


• Liberty of the Seas’ amplification has been postponed to a later date, and the ship will now sail to Galveston earlier than planned. The cruise line cancels February 14, 2021 Jewel of the Seas cruise as only one ship can dock at the Galveston pier at a time.


For the impacted customers Royal Caribbean is offering several options including future cruise credit, full refund, air & hotel bookings.
