IHG Appoints Joanna Kurowska as new MD for UK & Ireland

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel groups, has today announced the appointment of Joanna Kurowska as the new managing director in its home market of UK & Ireland.


Joanna will be responsible for driving sustainable hotel performance in the existing UK&I estate and working with owners and investors to unlock the growth potential for IHG’s brands. As the UK reopens following recent restrictions, Joanna is focused on delivering true hospitality for guests in the safest way possible as she leads the responsible recovery of IHG’s business in UK&I in a time of growth for the region.

Joanna’s promotion follows a 10-year career at IHG Hotels & Resorts, which started at InterContinental Warsaw as Director of Finance & Business Support, before moving on to a number of finance and operational roles across Europe, most recently settling in Frankfurt as Director of Operations for Northern Europe. Joanna also sits on IHG’s Europe Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Board. The Council is made up of colleagues from across the region who are passionate about shaping priorities and pushing for progress in line with IHG’s passion and commitment to DE&I, which sits at the heart of its purpose to provide True Hospitality for Good to guests, hotels, owners, colleagues and communities.
