Pegasus Airlines, posted its passenger traffic data for August with a filing sent to Istanbul Stock Exchange.
As per the filing, the airline carried 1,66 million passengers in total, including 1.18 million on domestic flights and 480 thousand on international flights, while the number of passengers carried was 45% behind August 2019.
Pegasus made a total of 11,560 flights, 7,791 domestic and 3,769 international, representing a 35% drop on last year. The carrier’s overall occupancy ratio was 77.6% in August.
Looking at the 8 months’ figures between January and August, the airline carried 9.3 million passengers in total ( 5.9 million domestic and 3.4 million international )
In the 8-month period, the company made a total of 60,737 flights, while the number of flights made last year was 124,053.
The average occupancy ratio of Pegasus in the first 8 months was 83 % with a 5,5 point drop over last year.
