Pegasus Airlines carries 1.57 million passengers in September

Turkish low cost carrier Pegasus Airlines revealed it’s passenger traffic data for September with a filing sent to Istanbul Stock Market.


According to the shared data, the airline carried 1.57 million passengers in September, including 1.12 million on domestic flights and 450 thousand on international lines, with a 45% decrease on September 2019.


Pegasus made a total of 11,340 flights, 7,635 domestic and 3,705 international, in September, reflecting a 33% decline over last year. The company’s overall occupancy ratio was 73.7% in September.

Looking at the data for nine months between January and September, the airline carried a total of 10.87 million passengers, 7.01 million on domestic lines and 3.85 million on international lines, last year this number was 23.12 million.


During the nine months, the company operated a total of 72,077 flights, while the number of flights last year was 140,965.


The average occupancy ratio of the carrier in the first nine months was 81.6% recording a 7% drop on last year.
