KLM Ground Staff Strike Leads to Over 100 Flight Cancellations
KLM has announced the cancellation of more than 100 flights due to a two-hour strike by its ground staff on September 10. The strike, which affected approximately 27,000 passengers, was initiated by two unions, FNV and CNV, which refused to participate in negotiations despite KLM having reached an agreement with three other unions.
The airline has rebooked affected passengers on the next available flights and has urged all travelers with flights scheduled for September 10 to check their flight status and follow updates on the airline’s or Amsterdam Schiphol Airport’s website. The brief strike highlights the ongoing labor disputes within the aviation industry and their direct impact on passenger travel.
