Icelandair has launched new direct flights between Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport (KEF) and Istanbul Airport (IST), establishing a new connection between Iceland and Turkey. The new route, which began on September 5, 2025, is scheduled to operate up to four times a week during the winter season, lasting until March 29, 2026.
The outbound flight, FI900, departs from Reykjavik at 3:25 PM local time and arrives in Istanbul at 11:55 PM local time. The return service, flight FI901, operates on Mondays and Thursdays, taking off from Istanbul at 12:25 PM local time and landing back in Reykjavik at 3:20 PM local time.
This new route not only provides travelers from Iceland with a direct link to a major international hub but also offers a convenient option for passengers from North America to connect to Istanbul via Iceland. The service aims to cater to growing demand for both tourism and business travel, enhancing connectivity between these two dynamic regions.
