China allowed direct flights to Beijing from eight countries last week.
The Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) announced last Wednesday that it will resume flights from Thailand , Cambodia, Pakistan, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Sweden and Canada to Beijing. The first flight will be made by Air China from Phnom Penh (Cambodia) on September the 3rd.
Since March 23, all flights to the capital city have been diverted to special entry points. CAAC says as of September 1st, 511 international flights have been diverted to the first point of entry.
CAAC added in a statement that if more than three Covid-19 cases are detected on the same flight, the flight will also be diverted to a first entry point outside Beijing.
