Serbia’s national flag carrier Air Serbia and Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, expanded their existing codeshare agreement, by placing each other’s marketing codes on additional destinations within the partner’s network. Through the enhanced cooperation, the two companies will provide their passengers with more opportunities to travel through the hubs of Air Serbia and Turkish Airlines.
The two airlines currently have their own marketing code on each other’s flights on the Belgrade-Istanbul route. Thanks to the enhanced partnership, Air Serbia will place its marketing code on Turkish Airlines flights to Odessa, Kiev, Cairo, Amman and Tel Aviv via Istanbul, as well as on local flights to destinations in Turkey such as Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, Ankara, Gazipasa, Adana, Dalaman, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Konya and Trabzon. Turkish Airlines will add its marketing code to Air Serbia flights to Banja Luka and Tivat via Belgrade.
“We already have a successful cooperation with Turkish Airlines. We are pleased that by expanding our mutual business relations, we will further contribute to improving and strengthening the cultural and economic ties between our countries. We are happy to be able to provide passengers of both companies with an even more attractive travel offer”, said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.
Thanks to this enhanced codeshare agreement, passengers will have the opportunity to buy a ticket with the one carrier’s code when they start their trip from Belgrade or Istanbul to above-mentioned destinations, which will further facilitate their travel.
Air Serbia currently has 48 partnership agreements, thanks to which it offers an extensive global network of destinations, in addition to its scheduled routes. Tickets for additional codeshare flights are already on sale.
