Air France Offers Free Wi-Fi on Flights

Air France has announced the launch of a free Wi-Fi service on its flights. This innovative service, which was announced in the fall of 2024 and implemented in 2025, is now available on five aircraft in the airline’s fleet, providing free, high-speed, and secure internet access to passengers in all travel classes.

The service is available to all passengers. Members of the airline’s Flying Blue program can log into their accounts, while non-members can create a free account while on board to access the service. This new system enables passengers to engage in digital activities such as messaging, following the news, streaming series and movies, and playing multiplayer games throughout their flight.

Air France aims to equip 30% of its fleet with this technology by the end of the year and its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The infrastructure for the service is provided by Starlink, which uses low-orbit satellites. This collaboration makes Air France the first major European airline to offer this technology for free, a move that is expected to significantly enhance the passenger experience.
