Skyscanner has announced that Laurence Tracol has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer.
A former eBay executive, Laurence joined Skyscanner as VP of Finance in September 2020. Over the past year, she has focussed on navigating the company’s recovery through the pandemic to help travellers get back to exploring the world safely, while championing female leaders.
Skyscanner’s CEO John Mangelaars said: “I’m delighted to have Laurence on board as CFO, bringing her strong leadership skills, financial experience and passion to the role. Over the last year she has been instrumental in shaping our response to the complexities currently impacting the travel industry as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As travel recovers, Laurence is a key part of the executive team shaping our business strategy and ambitious long term growth plans.”
Laurence was born and raised in France, where she gained her accounting and finance qualifications including an MBA completed at HEC Paris. She brings with her 25 years of financial experience at major high tech and e-commerce companies in Europe and the Silicon Valley in the US, whilst also serving in strategic advisory and non-executive director roles.
Prior to joining Skyscanner, Laurence held several finance leadership positions at eBay, most recently Deputy CFO for eBay International.
